Abraham Lincoln Speaks to Sarah W. Starkweather Elementary

The nation's 16th President, whose familiar face has been seen on the Bourse throughout the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Philadelphia Expo, spoke to K-5 classes in an assembly at Sarah W. Starkweather Elementary School on Thursday.

Sponsored by Delaware Valley Rare Coin Company, Inc and Whitman Expo, the appearance kept students mesmerized for more than an hour, a feat that startled even the most optimistic teachers.

Tracing the President's life from his humble birth in a Kentucky cabin to his death just five days after the surrender of Gen. Robert E. Lee, Dennis Boggs--known as one of the premier Lincoln presenters in the country--used the simple power of storytelling to keep several hundred students enthralled.

Along the way, he shared life lessons taken from Lincoln's experiences, encouraging students to stay in school, read a book to their parents and be tolerant of others--especially those from backgrounds different from their own.

Expo guests will have the chance to meet President Lincoln and get a photograph taken with him today (Friday, Sep 25) from 1pm until 4pm and again on Saturday from 10am until 1pm.

Don't miss the chance to chat with our nation's greatest President as channelled by the knowledgeable and witty Mr. Boggs.
