Bowers and Merena Baltimore Auction Update

On behalf of Rick Ponterio and myself, we invite you to join us today in the Charles Street VIP Suite for three amazing sessions of World and Ancient coins and international banknotes, presented by Ponterio & Associates.

We start early with Session A for World paper money at 9 a.m. Watch for Lot 6382, a remarkable Iranian 25 Tomans specimen front/back pair. Attributed as P-6s and dating to circa 1890-1923, these notes are Uncirculated and offer tremendous eye appeal as well as undeniable rarity.

Session B begins at 1 p.m. The second lot presented, Lot 7002, is an extremely rare 1876-A Greek 50 Drachmai from a mintage of only 182 coins. Attributed as Fr-15 and KM-50, and certified AU-58 by NGC, we anticipate this coin to see spirited bidder competition. We wrap things up with Session C at 6 p.m., when you will have to chance to bid on Lot 8299, a rare Danish 2 Speciedaler that dates to the reign of Frederick III (1648-1670). That coin is certified NGC AU-55 and is attributed as Sieg-81, H-81, Dav-3564 and KM-311.?

Our consignment specialists will be here through the show, so stop by Table 1204 to talk about how we can help you sell in our next Baltimore auction. Thank you to all of the consignors and bidders who participated, and to the Whitman team! Happy travels, and we will see you in June!
