Gerald Kochel has been crowned the winner of the Maryland State Numismatic Association Exhibit Competition at the Whitman Coin & Collectibles Baltimore Spring Expo 2010.
Mr. Kochel's exhibit featured Continental Currency signed by Adam Hubley of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Here is a complete list of winners: Third place (MSNA Superior Award) - "A Brief History of Ballooning" -- Sandra Emme (also winner of Maryland TAMS Best Exonumia Exhibit award) Second place (MSNA Master Award) - "Continental Currency February 26, 1777 - The So-Called Baltimore Issue" -- William Stratemeyer First place (MSNA Best In Show) - "Continental Currency - Signed by Adam Hubley of Lancaster, PA" -- Gerald Kochel Appreciation awards were presented to Simcha Kuritzky for "A Stellar Type Set" and "A Zulu Love Token" and to Russ Sears for "Early Elongated Coins of Baltimore".
A non-competing exhibit was "The Dickey Mill Centennial Medal" by exhibits chairman Bryce Doxzon.
