The Stack’s Bowers Galleries Official Auction has been in full-swing since Tuesday evening and has sold thousands of U.S. and World coin and paper money lots. The five sessions of U.S. material contained medals and tokens, colonial issues, federal coins from half cents through silver dollars and commemoratives, patterns and gold issues, and U.S. currency.

Prices have been strong throughout the sale, and bidding has been active, particularly on the internet bidding platform; significant realizations were achieved in all areas. Still to come today are the two final sessions of the Stack’s Bowers and Ponterio sale, featuring crowns and minors of the world, orders and decorations, and world paper money.
