Session 2 of Stack's recently concluded sale of the C.B. Slade, Jr. Estate followed suit with Session 1, with strong prices realized and impressive sell through rates.
Like Session 1, this sale featured several “fresh” consignments, something that has been lacking in the coin market lately.
Obviously the highlight of this session and the sale, featured on the cover of the catalogue, was the 1792 Washington Roman Head cent in Proof-64 BN (PCGS) which realized a healthy $103,500. Gold coins from the “1975 Collection,” “Capitol Collection,” and other important consignments brought impressive results as well. The sale realized over $2.5 million.
