I hope you’ve had a good show—and will be returning home with some good buys, a pile of sales receipts, and a smile on your face. As I mentioned yesterday, we are all fortunate to be professional numismatists.
I hope the show will be good for you and that I’ll see you here again in June. In the meantime, I’ll be at the Early American Coppers annual get-together, held this year in Annapolis, and will be the guest speaker on Friday night, April 23rd.Perhaps I’ll see you there.
In early April the 2011 edition of A Guide Book of United States Coins will be available. If you are not stocking Whitman books from your wholesaler, stop by at the Whitman booth at the Expo and make a connection. While many dealers who do not have shops do not stock books, if this includes you, you are missing a lot! Buy a few copies of the Guide Book and a few copies of each of The 100 Greatest titles, and give them to some of your best customers—mail them or gift them at a show. You will be repaid in spades! There is absolutely no better way to show your appreciation to a client or to get a new one started. And, the cost is very reasonable.
Have a safe trip home, take care, and as a dealer do your part to encourage and promote what I like to call the world’s greatest hobby.
