These two books are to be given as gifts. I've gotten my great nephew, age 7, into penny collecting. That's about the same age my mother got me started. I took folders, pennies and my book to our first "session". He asked if it was his book. I didn't want to get a book until I knew he was interested in the hobby. I promised to order one for him. The second book is a birthday gift for a dear friend who is going to be 87 and is already an avid coin collector. Pleasure doing business with you and I'll be back when the need arises. Thank you.
These annual editions are invaluable references, especially when you're on the road and need to know the diameter and mass of a coin to check for frauds or to get a ballpark estimate.
Want to know what you will be offered at the coin shop, when trying to sell your coins to a dealer? This books lets you know. Use the Blue Book in conjunction with the Red Book, and not only do you have information about the coins, but comparatively what you can expect your coins to be worth.
Classic reference delivered timely. Maybe better not as what should be paid for coins, but what you might expect to be paid for your coins.
