About the Author
Eric P Newman (1911-2017) was an American researcher and collector who specialized in colonial numismatics. He was awarded the prestigious medals of the American Numismatic Society, the American Numismatic Association, and the Royal Numismatic Society. Newman created standard attributions for several colonial coin series and did the same for early colonial currency with the 1967 first edition of Early Paper Money of America.
